Hi folks welcome to the Calderdale Fantasy Orchestra a new community orchestra and choir for West Yorkshire.

We’ll be performing a massive variety of material by the likes of Sun Ra, Ennio Morricone, David Bowie, Beatles, Leonard Cohen and many more all written out on sheet music by a team of maestros. We have over 200 tunes ready to play with parts for all instruments…. all levels of musicianship welcome but its probably best if you can read music or are prepared to have a go trying!

In 2012 Jesse Vernon (The Moonflowers, This is the Kit) started the Bristol community orchestra ‘The Fantasy Orchestra’. Since then its played and had daughter orchestras in Paris, Kent, Jersey, Plymouth and Mumbai!

We want to bring the kaleidoscopic symphony to the Calder valley with a taster session & hopefully the start of a new orchestra starting on the 12th Dec

At the helm will be David Insua-cao, master percussionist

sessions will commence fortnightly on Wednesdays upstairs at The Golden Lion, Todmarden starting on the 12th Jan
